Casa del Pino Marino

At just a few minutes on foot from the pure white alleyways of the picturesque White City of Ostuni, one finds the recently built holiday home Casa del Pino Marino which is part of a complex of 10 apartments of which the two holiday homes Paradise View Blue and Paradise View Red also form part. The coloured homes in the form of cubes are surrounded by and nestle in a green natural environment and cling idyllically to the cliff.

Also if one has to concede that the climb of about 100 metres is a little steep – one time this was a historic path used by the pilgrimage of the faithful – on arriving at ones destination one is rewarded with a splendid view. Thanks to its high position one can enjoy a fantastic and suggestive view of the White City and of the olive groves and sea. The side views from the apartment of the green surroundings and pine trees which give the home its name, are also very beautiful. The communal pool (in use from 1st May to 30th September) with a sun terrace and fine view entice one to spend some relaxing hours, like for example at the end of a day at the beach or after an excursion. From here, in the evening one can especially enjoy the view of the historical centre of Moorish charm.

The exclusive home of modern style is characterized by a good current standard. With the charm of a fashionable city home which inspires lovers of modern design and those guests who want to say in or in the environs of the city but at the same time be in a secluded position.
The Casa del Pino Marino is made up of two levels. From the terrace furnished with a group of chairs and table, one enters directly into the living room. There are two beautiful settees. Usually we offer the apartment for two people but at the explicit request of the client the comfortable bed-settee in the living room can also be used for a further two bed spaces, especially if the house is used by a family with two children. The home also has a flat screen satellite TV. The kitchen area is not particularly large but is furnished with all of the necessary facilities such as a dishwasher, oven, 4 gas rings, extractor hood and refrigerator. The environment is welcoming, well-lit and spacious. A spiral staircase leads upstairs to a sleeping area with a double bed. Also here the modern style of the furnishings of the house continues. From the sleeping area above, one accesses the large terrace which has a panoramic view that extends to the horizon of the sea.

Also the bathroom on the upper level like the bedroom is designed in a modern style with a wall-hung washbasin, bidet, transparent shower cubicle and hairdryer. The home has air-conditioning that can also be used in the winter months. There is also a small safe for valuables.

There is the interesting possibility of combining with  the neighbouring holiday homes Paradise View Blue and Paradise View Red. (The other half of the yellow-fronted building has another apartment with the same facilities and can obviously also be used as part of a combination). Therefore, in the case of more than one family or groups of people travelling together, other holiday units can be included as part of the package.

At about 150 steps lower one finds a good quality hotel. Naturally one can go there on the spur of the moment to dine or to drink an aperitif either at the  the bar or in the summer on the panoramic terrace of the hotel (see photo). From this position one can take beautiful walks in the alleyways of the labyrinthine historical centre that has remained extraordinarily intact; one can visit the cathedral, admire the baroque gateways as well as the local craft shops. The White City is characterised by an eastern ambience and is very enchanting. In the evening one can visit the various bars and restaurants of the area. The beautiful beaches of Marina di Ostuni are situated just 6 kilometres away.
