The Italian style of life and culture has always been familiar to Irene Dompe’‐Legrottaglie as an Italian German who was raised bilingual. She loves to travel and comes from a family of airline employees (her father was an employee of ALITALIA for many years); from her very early years Irene travelled the world. In her private life, she enjoys visiting antiques markets and always returns home triumphant with a new acquisition to add to her collection. She loves furnishing and decorating homes and of course likes Italian cookery.

Irene went to a school for translators and interpreters in Munich and is a qualified translator and before working as a businesswoman worked for more than 19 years at ENIT (Italian national tourist board). During these years she had many varied experiences in the world of tourist promotion. She knows Italy as a tourist destination with all of its facets and Puglia in particular.

Even if this native of Munich lives and works on the outskirts of the Bavarian capital, she is also at home in Puglia. However she did not meet her Puglian husband in the warmth of the South but on a cold day twenty years ago in Munich.

Acting as an intermediary for holiday villas and homes in the dreamlike southern region, Irene has turned her passion into a profession. Thanks to her deeply rooted connections with Puglia, she does not just know the group but all of the owners of the properties on offer personally. Her extensive knowledge of the area and its peculiarities together with her passion for homes and Mediterranean decor offer more than a guarantee.
